($66) Full, deep red. Superripe aromas of plum, roasted strawberry, cherry liqueur and nut skin. Broad, rich and sweet; fresher in the mouth than on the nose. Fruit-driven flavors of strawberry and menthol. Finishes with big, lush, sweet tannins, a faint dryness, and lingering woodsy and smoky notes.
($72) Deep red-ruby. Black cherry, truffle and nutty oak on the slightly medicinal nose. Lush, sweet, broad and rich, with impressive volume but also good grip and verve. Offers a fine-grained texture and lovely sweetness of fruit. Finishes fresh and persistent. Next to this, the Liste seems dry.
Bright ruby-red. High-pitched, vibrant aromas of cherry, rose petal, bitter chocolate, licorice, spices, mint and porcini mushroom. Thick, dense and strong; combines a seamless texture and very good brightness and cut. Finishes with big, granular, ripe tannins and impressive sweetness.
Full, bright ruby-red. Very subtle, pure aromas of bitter cherry, raspberry, rose petal and white truffle. Sweet, delicate and perfumed in the mouth; youthfully tight but offers compelling floral lift and subtle sweetness. Very light on its feet, with wonderfully sappy red fruit flavors. Finishes with noble tannins and a lingering flavor of maraschino cherry. The finest of an impressive group of Barolos from this producer.
