2005 Domaine Alice et Olivier DeMoor Chablis Bel Air et Clardy

($26) Bright yellow-straw color. Ripe aromas of peach, yellow plum and wet stone. Round, ripe and broad, in a fairly rich style for a village Chablis. But this full, dry, tactile wine also boasts very sexy, nuanced flavors of ripe yellow fruits, minerals and dusty stone. Finishes supple, smooth and persistent, with firm acidity and little obvious alcohol. (My sample of the Rosette, while showing plenty of underlying minerality, was compromised by a distinctly exotic, oxidative element of caramel apple; I assume this sample was not representative.) (Vintage '59 Imports, Washington, D.C.)
