($15) Yellow-gold. Fresh peach and apricot on the nose, plus a hint of floral honey. Soft and round, with juicy pit fruit flavors and a candied apple quality. This fleshy, supple midweight has a touch of sweetness that would make it a good choice with spicy Asian dishes.
($20) Medium red. Smoky red berries and dried flowers on the nose, accented by bright minerality. Taut and fresh, with juicy strawberry and redcurrant flavors, medium body and a jolt of minerals on the finish. A dry, firm pinot, quite similar to a good example of Pernand-Vergelesses.
($25) Light red. Spicy redcurrant and strawberry aromas enlivened by cinnamon and nutmeg; this reminded me of a wine from Oregon's Cristom Vineyards. Crisp, finely etched red berry flavors on a light frame, with very fine tannins arriving on the back. This elegant pinot finishes brisk, sweet and long. (Vine Street Imports, Philadelphia, PA)
