($19) Bright straw. Grassy citrus and pear aromas are given an exotic twist by a strong blast of yellow rose. Spicy and firm in structure, with energetic citrus zest and orchard fruit flavors on a light frame. Finishes taut and focused, with refreshingly bitter quinine and lime peel notes and very good length.
($15; an idiosyncratic blend of 70% cabernet sauvignon, 25% tempranillo and 5% zinfandel) Dark red. Smoky redcurrant and cherry on the nose, plus a whiff of pungent herbs. Bitter cherry and plum flavors are subtly sweet, with gentle acidity providing structure. Suave, silky and sweet on the finish, which features a strong note of cherry preserves. Very easy to drink.
