Light yellow. Smoky, floral aromas of leesy orange, peach and pear, deepened by toasty oak. Lush and round but also focused, with fresh tangerine and white peach flavors and hints of sweet vanilla and oak spice. Finishes broad and long, with a lingering element of smoky lees.
Medium red. Musky red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by underbrush and dried rose. Bitter cherry and dark berry flavors display very good depth and sweetness, with firm tannins lending support and gentle acidity adding energy. Hints of vanillin oak on the long, spicy finish. This seems richer than most Mornington Peninsula pinots I tried this year.
