($14) Pale yellow. Mint, lemon-lime and quinine on the impressively lucid nose. Light in body but chewy, with firm citrus and quince flavors complicated by mint and anise. Nicely concentrated albarino, finishing dry and with impressive thrust.
($12) Yellow-gold. Ripe pear and white peach aromas are sharpened by citrus zest and minerals. Vivid orchard and citrus fruit flavors are fresh and juicy, but the wine displays an essentially gentle texture. Finishes impressively long and precise, repeating the citrus note and picking up a dusty minerality. Delicious stuff. (C.I.V. USA, Sacramento, CA)
