($12) Light yellow. Spicy citrus and pear aromas are brightened by white flowers and ginger. Racy, precise and pleasingly bitter, with strong lemon zest and pear skin flavors. This tightly wound albarino shows a lively, persistent finish. A very good value and a great choice for summer guzzling.
($19) Pale straw. High-pitched, complex nose offers energetic citrus, peach, anise and mineral scents. Bracing lemon and mineral flavors are given depth by a strong licorice quality and a hint of banana. Picks up a zesty quinine quality on the long, spicy finish. I like this as much as this bodega's fancier bottling.
($24) Light yellow. Expansive bouquet comprises tangerine, lime, anise and talc-y minerals. Clean, focused citrus flavors display impressive clarity and are lifted by zesty, peppery minerality. Finishes youthfully firm and dry, with very good length. (Grapes of Spain, Lorton, VA)
