Ruby-red. Cherry-vanilla and raspberry jam aromas display good clarity and develop a peppery nuance with air. Crisp and light, with tangy red berry and redcurrant fruit flavors dusted with fine but firm tannins. Finishes dry and brisk, with good cut and length.

Inky violet. Earthy cherry and cassis on the nose, with complicating mineral and tobacco notes. Surprisingly sweet, with vibrant red and dark berry flavors unsullied by oak. Gains ripeness with air, displaying plum and cherry preserve on the long, juicy finish. This should be served with assertively seasoned grilled meats.
