About Joel B. Payne:
Joel B. Payne, an expatriate American who has lived in Germany since 1983, has been a regular contributor to Germany's leading wine magazine, Alles-Über-Wein (now merged with Vinum), as well as written articles for several other publications, including Decanter. His German Wine Guide, co-authored with Armin Diel, has appeared annually for the past 14 years. Payne, who covered Germanys 2004 vintage in Issue 124 of the IWC, was recently appointed editor-in-chief of Wine Business International and is the German member of the Grand Jury Européen.
