Portrait of Sur Lucero

Sur Lucero

Master Sommelier

Sur is the 14th Krug Cup recipient, passing all three sections of the Master Sommelier exam on his first attempt. He honed his palate working at The French Laundry, The Little Nell, Cyrus, Meadowood Resort, and Daniel Boulud Las Vegas.

“I enjoy crisp whites and muscular reds with authenticity and typicity for the region and the variety. I also love cooking and gardening so wines that pair with food are important to me. And I could drink Chablis for breakfast.”

Laura spearheaded the wine program for Top Chef Masters Michael Chiarello’s restaurant group and was a manager at Wine Spectator award-winning TORC.

“I seek out iconic wines from the classic regions of the world which have proven their reputation over decades or even centuries of excellence. I also look for a story; be it a place, the variety, the people, or the vintage- a connection with the wine beyond the sensory experience.”

Eduardo was the Global Beverage Director for the Morimoto Group for nearly a decade, has worked at some of Napa Valley’s most iconic restaurants, and is a professional Wine, Sake, and Spirits Judge and Journalist.

“My favorite wines are those that get more enjoyable in the glass over time as new flavors unfold and resonate like a great film, creating lasting memories. Some of my go-to wines are minerally whites and bold reds, and sake is a true passion of mine.”

Amanda McCrossin

Host of Wine Access Unfiltered

As a Wine Enthusiast Wine Star nominee for Sommelier of the Year and former Sommelier & Wine Director at PRESS Restaurant in Napa Valley, Amanda worked with the world’s largest, deepest restaurant collection of all Napa Valley wines in the world. During her time, the wine program was featured by Food & Wine Magazine, SF Chronicle, and on the cover of SOMM Journal.

“Few things in the world make me as happy as Champagne and Riesling, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t go bananas for a big ole’ oaky Chardonnay. While I believe that “setting” is my most important criterion for wine selection, I’m never opposed to cracking something special to drink with a burger on a Tuesday.”
