About the only thing wrong with the gently structured, user-friendly '97s is their absurdly high prices. Among the many highlights of the two previous vintages, which I retasted on my annual spring tour, are the superb, ageworthy cabernet-based '96s from the Medoc and a host of silky, concentrated right-bank '95s from Pomerol and St. Emilion.
