Since WineAccess is a marketplace of stores, it often makes sense to contact the retailer directly for questions about your order. Ordering
Check order status
The fastest way to check the current status of your order is to visit and sign in to Your Account. There you will find all current and past orders with updated status.

Many stores include a tracking number which will appear in both Your Account and the Shipment Confirmation e-mail. The tracking number allows you to monitor the progress of your shipment on the carrier’s website. If no tracking number was included, contact the store directly using the contact information in either your Order Confirmation or Shipment Confirmation e-mails or visit our store info page.

How to order
Placing your order is simple and convenient. Once you’ve found a wine you want to purchase:
  • Click “Compare Prices” to see which stores carry the product and will ship to your location.
  • Log-in or create a free account if prompted.
  • Select the product from a particular store.
  • Adjust quantities of the wine in the Shopping Cart.
  • Complete the Checkout Process by entering your billing and shipping information.
  • Confirm your order.

Also, please review the following information carefully:
Wine may be sold and delivered only to a person who is at least 21 years old. An adult signature is required by law for all deliveries. If no one is available to receive the package, a subsequent attempt to deliver will be made. We encourage you to use a commercial business address such as your office to assure the fastest delivery time. If subsequent attempts are unsuccessful, your order will be returned to the logistics center from which it was originally shipped. An additional fee will apply to re-ship undeliverable packages.

Sales tax
Each retailer will charge sales tax in accordance with applicable laws. The sales tax will automatically appear in your Shopping Cart as you begin the Checkout process.

Payment options
All retailers on WineAccess accept Visa and MasterCard, and most accept American Express and Discover. We make it clear in the Checkout process which cards are accepted. You will be required to enter the 3- or 4-digit security code on your credit card during checkout.

Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase to guarantee allocation of the wine. American Express cardholders will be charged half of their order at the time of purchase and the second half will be charged as the order is being processed and prepared for shipment.

Stores do not accept cash, money orders, personal checks or debit cards.

For in-store pickup, payment must be made online at the time you submit the order, and the same online payment policies outlined here apply.

Order confirmation
After you’ve placed an order, you will immediately receive an Order Confirmation e-mail with the details of your purchase. Please review it to ensure accuracy. If there is incorrect information, please contact the store directly using the contact information in the e-mail.

After your order has been packed and prepared for shipping, you’ll receive a Shipment Confirmation e-mail from the store letting you know it’s on its way.

Item availability
Most stores on WineAccess show only wine selections that are currently in stock. Some stores, however, also offer “futures” or pre-arrival wines that you can order before the wines actually arrive in the store. Futures are marked on the website.

On rare occasions, a specific wine may temporarily appear as “in stock” on the website even though it has recently sold out in the store. The discrepancy occurs before the website can be updated. In these instances, the retailer will contact you directly about the status of your order. Your credit card will not be charged.

Cancellations
Cancellation policies vary depending on the retailer. If you would like to cancel your order before it has shipped, please contact the store directly using the information in your Order Confirmation email.

Shipping & Store pickup
Shipping policies
Shipping laws vary from state to state, and consequently from store to store. We’ll let you know when you Compare Prices which stores will be able to ship to your location. Only registered users may make purchases on WineAccess, so we’ll already have your ZIP code and can determine whether you’re eligible to receive wine shipments from particular retailers.

When you find a wine and compare prices on WineAccess, stores that are currently eligible to ship to you are clearly labeled.

Shipping costs and methods
Wine shipments cannot be sent by the Postal Service, and so are most commonly sent using other carriers like FedEx or United Parcel Service.

Shipping costs will vary by retailer policies, location or special discounts. Shipping costs will change as you build your order and will be clearly displayed during the checkout process.

If you have specific questions concerning shipping costs and methods, please contact the retailer directly.

Tracking your order

Delivery time
Delivery times vary based on each retailer’s procedures, location and the shipping destination. Usually orders are processed and packed for shipment in 48-72 hours. Once it’s ready for shipment, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation e-mail from the store letting you know your order is on its way.

You can always check on the status of your order when you sign in to Your Account.

In-store pickup
All retailers on WineAcces offer in-store pickup (WineAccess Monthly and WineAccess Direct orders excluded). If you’re in the neighborhood, in-store pickup can be a convenient way to “pre-shop” from the comfort of your own home. When you place a wine selection in your shopping cart, you’ll be asked if it’s for delivery or in-store pickup.

You will receive an e-mail notification once your in-store order is ready. Print your receipt at home and bring it with you to pick up, or write down your order confirmation number.

Returns and Exchanges
Return and exchange policies vary by retailer. Please contact the store from which you made the purchase to learn about their return policy.
