As co-owner of CW since 1982, and of Woodley before that, he has been in the fine wine business for 40 years. He has traveled all over the world, making contacts that help him keep CW at the forefront of the wine world.
Tom McKnew, Wine Manager

Tom has been our wine manager for more than 20 years. He has over 25 years experience in the wine business, and his knowledge of wine is second to none. He is a lover of all wines, especially Burgundy and Bordeaux.
William Holby, Wine Manager

William joined us in September 2006 after moving to D.C. from Birmingham, Alabama. Working in wine shops around Birmingham and founding the Birmingham-Southern College Wine Club helped him gain the experience and knowledge he's brought to CW. Although he's particularly fond of French and Italian wine, it's the story behind each bottle that really piques his interest.
Debera Edwards, Wine Sales

Debera came to Calvert Woodley in February 2008 after working since 2001 as the evening manager and wine buyer at Sherry's in Woodley Park. She regularly visits wineries across the U.S. and has a great passion for food and wine pairings. "The best part of this industry is that no one can ever know it all - it's a constant learning process."
Howard Friedman, Wine Sales

Howard came to us in 2000 after many years in the wholesale side of the wine business. He has a great fondness for Spanish wines but is a well-rounded wine lover.
Matt Roman, Wine Sales

Matt entered the wine business after many years serving Washingtonians in some of DC's finest restaurants. He enjoys working with customers to find the right wine to match a meal or as the perfect gift. Matt joined us in September 2006.
Pepi Almodovar, Wine Sales

Pepi has been with Calvert Woodley since 1999 but has been in the wine business for at least a hundred years!! He is a valuable member of our team.
Tom Nicholson, Wine Sales

Tom just recently joined our staff in June 2007 but has been in the wine business since 1989, working for wineries and retail shops all over the country. He loves to drink Burgundy and find great wine values.
