When Spiritus promoted the Argyle 1999 Oregon Brut for less than $20, I tried it and thought I was in heaven. Then they brought forth Duval Leroy- sounds like a prizefighter - just as it was named to the WS Top 100. Having just loaded up on Argyle, I brought a bottle of Leroy home to meet the missus. She loved it. I asked her which was better. She said they were toe to toe excellent, but as distinctly unique as Americans and the French. Try them both and you decide.
