Rum Raisin Hagendaz in a glass
By pham12145644, February 22, 2007
This wine is very sweet, thick, and full of raisin flavor. It is like having a rum raisin Hagendaz ice cream cone in a glass to savor very slowly. Surprisingly creamy finish. This wine would be great as a topper for good homemade vanilla ice cream or warm bread pudding. Nice to have around by the fire to sip with a good book by the fire.

Sweet, lots of raisiny aromas and flavors, mebso coffee, mebso orange hints, rich almost unctuous but clean and not cloying. Long finish.
A terrific sweet sherry - try it with mince pie.
ooooh!!!

delicious, but really this should be next to the ice cream toppings...
Steen's syrup diluted with alcohol.

NV Emilio Lustau PX 'San Emilio'
Deep medium brown color. Pours like warm syrup. Nose of caramelized sugar, molasses, and Steen's syrup (a Southern cane syrup). Totally mouthfilling, but slightly lacking acidity. If there are tannins, they're all color, and the oxidation has buried them. All these swirling flavors persist for 15+ seconds. Not something you can drink in large amounts, but wonderful what little you can.
