Good full red. Aromas of redcurrant and cherry are somewhat overshadowed by smoky, nutty oak. Sweet and pliant in the mouth, with ripe flavors of cherry and raspberry. More supple than most New Zealand pinots. Finishes with good length, but my enthusiasm was reduced by some hints of truffle and old wood.
