Red-ruby. Aromas of bitter cherry, leather and smoky, flinty minerality. Supple and sweet but a bit rustic, with red berry, menthol and game flavors and a rather plump texture. Finishes with slightly dusty tannins and an edge of acidity. A tad disjointed today.
Deep red. Cherry and licorice aromas with gentle herb and mineral accents. Shows bitter cherry on the palate, with bright minerality and firm, youthful tannins. Wound up today but I like the clarity and focus. A bright red berry note clings nicely on the finish.
