Bright medium red. Musky raspberry, smoke and earth aromas are complicated by a hint of toast and lifted by a mineral nuance. At once supple and brisk, showing good juicy intensity to its cherry, red berry and spice flavors. Slightly dry-edged and simple on the back but nicely done.

On the nose: Plum, cherry pits and lots of violets. Palate carries all of that as well along with eucalyptus, cedar and a finish of forest floor. Really well balanced and paired well with a hickory BBQ pork chop! Drank side by side with Kim Crawford PN - and the Greywacke was above and beyond the more complex and enjoyable wine! Well done!
Good now, will get better with time

Very nice now but still young. Lighter in body but needs time to mature and unwind. Glad I got a case so I can try one every 6 months or so until it peaks...
