Not a simple joli Beaujolais, but real, characterful wine with the inner density, soft tannins, and lush fruitiness typical of well-farmed Gamay. Vinified in the Burgundian style, using the natural ambient yeasts, this wine is a perfect example of real Beaujolais: a classic wine from a region whose image has been unfairly debased by banana-flavored nouveau.
