Bright ruby-red. Ripe cherry and blackberry on the nose, with complicating notes of smoky Indian spices and dried rose. Ripe and fleshy, with smooth dark fruit flavors gaining sweetness with air. Ample but energetic wine with very good finishing clarity and cling. This has the heft to work with rich red meat dishes, or strong cheeses.
