Deep ruby. Aromas of dark fruits and woodsmoke, with a hint of cured meat in the background. Sappy and penetrating, with a slightly dry edge to its cassis and bitter cherry flavors. Closes on a smoky note, with firm grip and building tannins. Shows good material but comes off slightly rustic.
