Host Your Own Wine Tasting

Are you looking for that perfect ice-breaker, fund-raiser, team building event, or a way to entertain your clients?
Look no further.

A Wine tasting event is the perfect answer. Not only does it provide the right touch of class and enjoyment, the event comes to you, which means fewer logistical headaches for you. Hosting a private wine tasting can provide fun, entertainment, and most importantly, taking the mystery out of one of the most confusing culinary experiences…choosing a wine. Many people will never know the joy of a wonderful wine, simply because they lack the knowledge—or are intimidated by the process.

Why a winetasting?

To have fun and learn the answers to some specific questions such as:

  • Can I find interesting wines that won't require a second mortgage?
  • What exactly does a wine list say?
  • What wine goes with this food... and why?
  • Why should I swirl the wine in the glass?
  • What do you mean 'my wine has legs'?
  • Why would wine made from the same grapes in the same vineyard taste different from year to year?
  • How can my mouth feel dry while drinking a liquid?
  • Come on, a Riesling is a Riesling, right?

Our wine consultants’ knowledge and love of food and wine flow as easily as the wine itself. Your guests will be delighted with this down-to-earth excursion into a world of tastes, scents and sensations.

Business Entertaining
A dual purpose function... show your clients/vendors an enjoyable time with a wine tasting party, all the while learning how to better choose wine to impress your other clients and vendors. Not to mention, that the next time one of these clients/vendors invite you to one of their business functions, you'll most likely get a better wine selection.

Team Building Events
Need a morale builder, or way to bring your team together? In this setting, participants are divided into tasting teams and quickly trained to evaluate wines like a pro. Teams compete for incentives or prizes chosen by the corporation in a blind tasting challenge. Those employees that choose to not drink, can participate by keeping score.

Event Enhancer
Provide something different at your conference, convention, or employee family gatherings. Give them something new, fun, and informative. Choose from one of the Wine Tasting Themes or let Personal Wine Pro determine the program for you.

Ice Breakers
Have a wine tasting as a pre-event in connection with a dinner, meeting, conference, or convention. This would generally follow a walk-around format while guests taste wine at their leisure with Personal Wine Pro on hand to answer wine questions. Wines are selected with the event menu in mind.
