Expert Reviews
(80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay, 55% from 2009 and 45% from 2007; disgorged June, 2012): Pale yellow. Vibrant citrus and pear skin aromas are complicated by notes of lemon, anise and chalky minerals. Firm and juicy, offering energetic lime and orange peel flavors and an undercurrent of smoky minerals. Finishes dry and long, with very good clarity and lingering spiciness.
Pale yellow with tiny bubbles. Intensely perfumed aromas of lemon, red berries, fresh sage, green cardamom and smoky minerals. Tightly wound, focused and very pure, offering lively blood orange, redcurrant and orchard fruit flavors and good stony lift. Surprisingly concentrated for a light-bodied wine, finishing with tangy florality and cling.
