High in toasty oak and rich and ripe in sweet apple fruit, the nose of this full-bodied bottling is paralleled by solid, if oak-seasoned flavors that tend to hide the fruit a bit. Still, this is a deep, somewhat compact wine that will shine at the table with roasted chickens or sturdy fish, and it would not be out of place in the cellar for a few years.
