(100% pinot noir; L 01.12): Pale gold. Raspberry, blood orange, smoky minerals and white flowers on the fragrant nose. Juicy, spicy and light on its feet, with zesty minerality lifting and sharpening fresh red fruit and spicecake flavors. Shows distinct delicacy and cut on the finish, with the mineral and floral notes repeating.
Pale gold with a strong mousse. Intensely mineral nose displays Meyer lemon, lime, green apple, pungent herbs and chalky minerals. Clean and finely etched, with energetic citrus, anise and wet stone flavors underscored by honeysuckle and quinine. An uncompromising Champagne that delivers impressive finishing lift, cut and persistence. There's no way that I'd have guessed this wine was made entirely from red grapes.
