Dark red. Cassis, blackberry and violet on the pure, scented nose. Rich, sweet and full but in the gentle style of the year, with enticing floral lift in the middle palate. This broad, suave wine finishes with lingering perfume. As in so many past years, this would make a perfect ringer in a tasting of premier crus from Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanee.
