Saturated ruby. Complex, expressive scents of red- and blackcurrant, mocha and rose, plus a suave hint of smoky minerals. With air this offers more spice and floral character, which carries onto the palate and complements gently sweet dark berry and cherry compote flavors. Silky tannins lend structure and give the wine a shapely quality. Finishes with lingering cherry and smoky mineral notes and noteworthy persistence. Quite expressive now but I've no doubt that this will reward at least a decade of patience.
