Medium-deep, golden-tinged yellow. Pure, deep aromas of pineapple, banana, minerals and iodine are complemented by sweet spices and a hint of buttery caramel oak. Superrich, highly concentrated and seamless on the palate, with densely packed flavors of banana cream pie, fresh herbs and vanilla. Finishes rich, round and impressively glyceral, with nutty nuances and an unobtrusive vanilla return. I'd wait a couple years on this one to let the oak resolve fully, but it's pretty impressive already. The vines range from 25 to 65 years old, and the wine ferments and ages in 50% new French oak.
