(13.9% alcohol, the lowest of these 2009 pinots): Full red. Pungent, musky aromas of boysenberry, black cherry and licorice. Dense and juicy, with a slightly musclebound quality to the black cherry, licorice and violet flavors. Darker in fruit character than the Georganne and a bit more medicinal and less expansive. A fairly rich style but seems a bit less ripe than the best pinots in this group and finishes with distinctly firm tannins.
