Good full red. Aromas of dark raspberry, cola and musky soil tones, with a faint hint of char. Richer and deeper than the Cornish Point and Bannockburn bottlings, with lovely intensity to the flavors of red and dark berries, underbrush and cola. Currently a bit aggressive on the chewy, palate-coating back end, as the acids and tannins have not yet harmonized. But this wine grew silkier with time in the recorked bottle, and gained dramatically in red fruit character. I'd give it a year or two before pulling the cork.
