(made from fruit harvested between October 18 and 21; 35% new oak): Bright ruby. Aromas of raspberry and cherry are complemented by suave floral and spicecake nuances. The palate offers an array of sweet red and dark berry flavors, along with notes of candied lavender, cola and allspice. This juicy, precise pinot finishes with outstanding finishing and lingering florality. I find this wine less forthcoming than the Red Queen and suspect that it will age a bit longer.
