(15.2% alcohol): Bright, deep ruby-red. Enticing, complex aromas of blackberry, cassis, mocha, game, violet and pepper. Silky, tactile and soil-driven, with dark berry flavors complicated by meaty and saline nuances. A bit warm on the back end but the tannins are lush and smooth and the black fruit flavors linger impressively. This makes a very satisfying mouthful already but I'd wait a few years for it to absorb some of its baby fat.
