Moderately saturated red-ruby. Musky aromas of redcurrant, plum, tobacco, mocha, herbs and menthol. Silky and suave on entry, then smooth in the middle, with moderate concentration and richness to the flavors of currant, dark chocolate, menthol, licorice and peppery herbs. Savory more than sweet and nicely aromatic on the lingering finish, which shows a good balance of fresh acidity and ripe, mounting tannins. Essentially a gentle style of cabernet and accessible already.
