(aged in 80% new French oak): Good saturated ruby-red. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, violet, leather and herbs. Sappy, juicy and attractively sweet, with rather claret-like flavors of dark berries, herbs and spices. Nicely combines an Old World silkiness of texture with the ripeness of Mendoza cabernet. The long, rising finish features very smooth tannins. Classy juice, and long on personality.
Rivals Napa's Best

Great fruit with a lot of earth. Rivals Bordeaux and Napa's finest. A great by at this price.

interesting wine. A tad sweet, but nevertheless enjoyable. Will buy more.
Balbo cab, a pleasant surprise.

A nice clean cab, not overly powerful, not overly layered yet enough density of flavor to not be considered "light". This is the first bottle of the case. It is very drinkable now but seems just a bit young. Perhaps another year will do it even more justice...I'm gonna have to space out those last 11 bottles!
Lighter, smooth, drinkable as soon as poured

Lighter in weight than the napa cabs, but smooth and fruity. After 30 minutes, very drinkable. Not a sipper--could get in trouble drinking so easily! ;-)

Needs to sit a few more years

The wine did not hold up to my expectations. I'm hoping it needs to sit a few more years before opening another bottle
