strawberry, raspberry and pungent flowers, with smoky minerality and a touch of
Asian spices. Very pinot today,
offering zesty red fruit and spice flavors and a sexy rose pastille
quality. A chalky mineral quality
adds cut and lift to a long, sappy finish. This will be extremely flexible with food. Déthune’s vineyards are all in the
grand cru village of Ambonnay.
