Medium ruby. Slightly reduced aromas of cassis, chocolate, mocha and violet. Lush, rich and deep but still a bit youthfully unforthcoming, showing less sweetness of fruit than the Canoe Ridge or Cold Creek cabernets. A menthol element and substantial dusty tannins contribute to the impression of solid structure. A rather "interior" wine today, with a serious architecture for aging.
