Expert Reviews
Leading with direct, well-ripened, cherry and cocoa aromas and following with glycerin-fattened flavors that are long on initial appeal, this full but very slightly hollow wine toughens up as it crosses the palate. Its fruit falters slightly as dryness and pushy tannins define its finish, yet it might fill out more fully with a bit of cellaring, however, and its moderate price makes the gamble well worth taking.
excellent value

i first had this wine a couple months ago, and is one of the few wines i have bought since then. it is a very smooth easy to drink cab, but still has great body to give it substance. it has a slightly sweeter note to me, but still like velvet on the tongue. for $15-20, especially from california, i have not found anything to match it.
Knockout!

This wine completely knocked me out when I first had it back in August 2003. Chez Josephine in NYC pours this as one of thier house wines and what a gift. Ripe berries, fruit forward and a nice satisfying finish - all for $14 per bottle.

Peppery nose, nice clean balance of fruit and tannins. Shortens into dryness midway into palate. Nice 15 dollar. Everyday? why not? Nothing negative here, and much bang for buck.
