Becky Brandt, Wine Sales
Becky keeps everyone else in line with immaculate attention to detail, warm smile, and utmost of grace. Her love of French wines was born of an exchange program that allowed for a year living in France. Becky books all the events and parties at Square Deal and can be found every day making our wines sound as good as they are. She lives in Portland with her husband James, a nutrition-minded chef working for Portland Public Schools.

Dougal Reeves, Wine Sales
Dougal joined Square Deal earlier this year to help us manage our shipping
and warehousing operations. He quickly proved however, that his calling was
dealing with customers. He's the only guy I know that can spend an hour
discussing one bottle of wine. And the accent is Australian, not French. He
lives in Longview with his wife Erin, a human resources manager.

Stop, Wine Sales
Dan joined Square Deal in 2007 after returning from the UK where he managed a boutique wine shop in Cambridge. When he's not chatting about wine with customers he's probably cooking them dinner. Dan has a diverse love for wine from young Cotes-du-Rhone to old Bordeaux. He lives in West Linn with his wife Steph, a GIS Project Engineer, and their son Ethan. Since there are two Dan's now he likes to be called "Stop." But we've nicknamed him "Curly."

Dan Beekley, Proprietor
Dan founded Square Deal in 2004 after a 5 year stint with an Oregon winery and 8 years as an importer/distributor in New Jersey. He lives in north Portland with his wife Elizabeth, kids Tess and Ivan, and mortal enemies Ladybug and Charlie, the family dog and cat.

Eric Gorrell, Store Manager
Eric hunts mushrooms, reads Prost, eats well, and begs Dan to take more trips to France. He works hard, makes people laugh, and is an overall excellent person. He lives in Rose City Park with his wife Denise, a lawyer, and their dogs Molly and Taz.

Julia Guthrie, Director of Logistics
Julia is far too overqualified to work for us. After years of the New York
rat race as a project manager for the Ann Taylor website, she cashed in and
moved back to her native Portland. She attended our earliest wine classes
and asked us for a job. The rest is history. Julia lives in SW Portland with
her energetic King Charles Spaniels Tilly and Cocoa.
