Pauillac, Bordeaux, France- "Stick your nose in this and it says something? I am special." Deep and generous aromas of blackberries, fresh tobacco and minerals... With big velvety tannins and a superlong finish. Like a fine cashmere sweater." Wine Spectator

Bright red-ruby. Sexy aromas of raspberry, cedar, coconut, minerals, lead pencil, chocolate and tobacco leaf. Juicy, lively and penetrating, with sharply delineated flavors of blackberry, raspberry and rose petal. Boasts the classic inner-mouth energy of this great first growth, but also grew increasingly silky with extended aeration. Finishes with tongue-coating tannins and superb lift.

5.0 of 5 Stars Great bottle of wine
By Patrick12860638, July 30, 2008
Some day treat yourself to a bottle. You deserve the best. Truely one of the best bottles that I have consumed in years. I got mine a t a store in Jacksonville, NC. Wines & Wares. They had a bottle of Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac 1998 that I wanted also but could only afford one. Treat yourself someday. Just traveling through and found that great little wine and beer store in Jacksonville. Thanks Guys.

great today and tomorrow; a fantastic, and quite frankly, unbelievable wine and people think I'm kidding when I say its better than sex. The color of Dorothy's Ruby Slippers..Seriously. What's the 2000 gonna taste like?
5.0 of 5 Stars Silk and finesse

Deep, black red, the liquid resembles a thin jelly - it looks alive as I swirl the wine around the glass. The nose is described with overwhelming elegance, layering without the end, sweet herbs, smoke, just a perfect amount of oak, terroir of gods, leather, tobacco it all seems magical. This is a medium body wine, impeccably made, the acids offer sweetness I’ve never experienced and the soft, velvety texture is irresistible. I only had a glass full and tasted it after two hours or so after opening, but another smell from a glass after 1/2 an hour more revealed enormous bouquet. This is a terrific wine! My rating comes with a question mark as I can only dream of what a 100 points must be like.
