Best value so far

I have been trying to find decent value priced pinot noir. I like this because most of the ones I have tried are either vinegar or too robust. I like the smoothness of this one and the price is right!
Excellent value, I buy it regularly

It's all about the value proposition. Is this a 5-star like a $500 Pauillac? Of course not. But at this price it's an excellent value. I have tried many budget pinots, and I keep coming back to Ropiteau for about a year now. It's an easy-drinking pinot noir without the off flavors I found in, for example, the d'Autrefois or Domaine Virginie pinots.
Excellent wine great price

Light and Tasty

Though we don't usually drink Pinot Noir this is excellant for a light red wine and goes well with just about any dish! Those beginning to drink red wine, this is a great start.
Very Drinkable French Pinot
By Spanish Bob, March 31, 2009
Four or five stars--- compared to what? This is a nice budget Pinot, but let's get real people. I agree that, for the money, you can't go wrong. Nothing from California in this price range even comes close. The D'Autrefois costs a buck or two more and doesn't deliver nearly as much fruit. If you're looking for an every day Pinot staple, give this strong consideration, but this is not a wine for special occasions.

06 Vintage: Nice straight forward easy to drink
fruity Pinot Noir. Much better than the clumsy
overcooked budget pinots from California.
Pleased

This wine was nice. Not a mind-blower, but nice and versitile. I enjoyed it with Italian fare two nights, and with parmesan cheese and Mobry cheese tonight.
Inexpensive, light pinot noir
By Alydan, February 07, 2008
Dark red, lighter, sweeter than I expected for a Pinot Noir. A little tannic finish. A nice, drinkable, little wine.
excellent wine for the price

This is a light Pinot Noir with finesse...surprisingly well balance for a wine under $10...good buy

Although I'm not a big fan of French pinot noir, this one is pretty good!
A Bit Below Average

Passable but not the best choice at this price point. I didn't expect much complexity and wasn't disappointed. Wine was too thin to be enjoyable though. For the money try D'autrefois or Mark West.
Not Impressed...
By Bernazky-Alm12918619, August 30, 2008
The rep at the store said that this was a wonderful, impressive wine.... In my opinion, it's bland and watery. It definitely had some fruity accents to it, but not like the typical pinots I like. Try something else if you like a wine that packs a punch.
Not sure I like French

This tasted watery to me... I need to try more French wines and figure it out cause I ain't feelin' it...
