This wine is excellent, but not for the lighthearted. It is bold, yet bursting with flavor. It can stand a little breathing time as its initial offering is very powerful. Once it has settled, you will enjoy every sip. The flavors are so genuine that you could drink this wine by itself, but some may prefer it with a meal as it is not lacking in body. I prefer wines under $15 and this is one of the few I put in my log book as worth the extra price. I drank the 2001 red with my wife who is really a white wine drinker and she almost converted on the spot. I highly recommend this wine. I am not exactly an expert, but have had enough wines to know this is a true standout among reds. It was given to me as a gift and I will be forever grateful, at least until I buy another bottle this weekend. It is a blend of cab sauv., cab franc and merlot, so I am not sure where exactly to find it, but it is guaranteed that I will. At $30 a bottle it is definitely worth it.
