a must for pinotphiles
2007 Belle Glos Taylor Lane
Sourced from a ten acre plot, this vineyard along the Sonoma Coast has a beautiful cool and foggy climate ideal for the grape resulting in great complexity and balance. This inhospitable site produces wonderfully concentrated, intense wines with cherry pie, and campfire aromas. In the mouth it shows delineated fruit with vibrant acidity and well-integrated tannins. Enjoy this now with rich fish, pasta or pork dishes, or lay down in your cellar for 5-7 years. 2 stars from the San Francisco Chronicle: "A nose of sweet-sour cherry, underripe strawberry with loam and sandwood spice. The palate is richer with boysenberry and blackberry highlighted with an elegant hint of wood. Finish comes alive with bright acidity; nicely balanced for such a young wine." And, according to Wine Spectator: "Fresh, ripe, vibrant black cherry, wild berry and raspberry fruit is pure, clean, crisp and elegant. Full-bodied, this ends with touches of anise and sage. Drink now through 2012."

2007 Belle Glos Clark and Telephone Pinot Noir
Sourced from the Santa Maria Valley from 35 year-old vines with only one ton per acre yields. This is a seductively rich, dark well of black fruit flavors topped with spicy overtones and a lush, soft mouthfeel. Aromas of ripe plums, brown spices- ranging from cinnamon to cumin- and rich, freshly turned earth alongside the wine’s firm acidity lead you to believe that this is a keeper. We have a tough time keeping this wine around.

2007 Belle Glos Las Alturas Pinot Noir
The Las Alturas Vineyard, where this wine is sourced, is perched at 1,200 feet in the Santa Lucia Highlands, where it benefits from warm days and cool nights. Elegant red and black fruit aromas are punctuated by anise notes that carry over to the palate. Layers of sweet fruit, pipe tobacco, and dusty earth add an Old World-like dimension to an otherwise fruit-driven wine. Luscious and richly textured, this wine is drinking well now and will continue to age for up to a decade. According to Wine Spectator: "Floral and fragrant, with rose petal, plum, black cherry and brewed tea flavors that are fresh, lively and juicy on a medium body, with firm tannins.
