Stony, dry aromas of iodine and white flowers. Juicy and tightly wound, with a strong stony character keeping the wine's fruit under wraps. Finishes with a whiplash of energy and superb persistence. This calls for several years of cellaring. Incidentally, Cournut told me he's currently enjoying his 2001 Dents de Chien and his 2000 Batard.
