The quality here just keeps getting better and better, and the 2010 might be one of the best I have had from this property. Every detail is considered here and they are doing all the right things. "Lute Raisnnee" sustainable farming, hand harvesting into small lugs, hand sorting, and a gradual reduction in the amount of new oak so that it now is about 55% vs 100% in the past creating a balance, lovely expressive wine that showcases it left bank provenance. Solid, structured and classic Medoc cassis, cedar and dark fruit notes. A wine to hold for 7-7 years and drink for 15-20 after that. Region: Haut Medoc Cepage: 55% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 10% petit verdot. Vinification: 50% new oak. Drink: 2018-2030
