Domaine Meo-Camuzet/Maison Meo-Camuzet
Currently, Jean-Nicholas Méo runs the show here, producing flamboyantly aromatic Burgundies that offer sweet fruit and abundant oak spice character along with deep, velvety texture. This domaine got its start when parliamentarian Etienne Camuzet began purchasing blocks of land in the top Côte d'Or vineyards in the beginning of the twentieth century. Today, Meo-Camuzet offers seven Grand Crus including Clos de Vougeot, Richebourg, and Echezeaux as well as a slew of Premier Crus. The domain's very scarce Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux bottling is from a vineyard made famous by the most esteemed Burgundy winemaker of the last half-century, Henri Jayer.
