About Chateau Pontet Canet
In the early 18th century, Jean Francois de Pontet, Royal Governor of the Medoc, purchased several vineyards and united them under the banner of Pontet. Today, this Pauillac Chateau is owned by cognac magnate Guy Tesseron. His son Alfred manages the 80 hectare vineyard.

Good full ruby-red. Plum, tar, cedar and a hint of herbaceousness on the nose. Plummy and moderately dense, with warm notes of tar and tobacco. Finishes with less ripe tannins that show a hint of dryness.
