Bright red-ruby. Pungent aromas of raspberry, smoked meat and spices. Sweetish flavors of raspberry, cooked strawberry, currant, clove and pepper; quite aromatic in the mouth. Has good texture but finishes with some dry-edged wood tannins and odd notes of eucalyptus oil and strawberry candy. Just 15% new oak used for this wine.
