Introduced by lovely aromas of raspberries, sweet oak and leanings of ripe red cherries, this rich and uncommonly well-fruited marriage of varietals simply has more center, extract and fruity density than the vintage seems wont to provide. It is full and fleshy in feel, and its neatly integrated tannins lend the necessary grip without becoming hard and limiting. The wine's outgoing nature is sure to invite early drinking, but there is fine potential for continuing improvement here, and a wait of four to six years is advised.
