($85; a barrel selection for concentration, structure and ageability; aged an additional six months in oak) Good red-ruby. Musky, rather backward nose hints at black fruits and tar. Dense, fat and sweet, with raspberry and currant fruit notes complicated by tobacco and graphite. Sweet finish features fine, ripe tannins and tarry oak. This is solidly structured for aging, but there's also plenty of forward fruit.
