About Pride Mountain Vineyards
Nestled above the Spring Mountain fog, on the Napa-Sonoma county line, Pride Mountain Vineyard sits on a former 340-acre agricultural Summit Ranch. In 1989, when Jim and Carolyn Pride purchased the spread they planned on growing grapes to sell, but soon caught the bug and built a winery.
1999 Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Franc Sonoma County
Producer: Pride Mountain Vineyards
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Cabernet Franc
Origin: California
Region: Sonoma
90 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2002
(with 25% merlot) Good medium ruby-red. Black cherry, cassis, violet, tobacco and mint on the nose. Juicy and tightly wound, with vibrant dark berry and tobacco leaf flavors. Foley used the merlot quite effectively to fill in the wine's middle. From fruit picked mostly in November.
